I am a strong believer in writing software, not just theory, for quantum computers. I also stand in awe of Donald Knuth's contributions to computer science, including TAOCP (The Art of Computer Programming) and TEX. What I admire most about Prof. Knuth's amazing career is that it has combined superb skills in theory (mathematical proof) and practice (code writing).
